The Acacia Group is a club for CSUF graduate students pursuing a Master of Arts in English, emphasizing their professional development as educators and scholars. We offer workshops on pedagogy, particularly first-year composition pedagogy to assist Teaching Associates in the graduate program, and on professional academic activities such as presenting at conferences and writing a CV. We also sponsor an annual conference in the early Spring. A call for papers is distributed throughout the CSU system and the country, and both graduate and undergraduate students are encouraged to submit their critical essays.
